Trip Times - Meeting Locations - What to expect

Guided South Holston And Watauga River Fly and Conventional Fishing Trips Based out of Bristol, Tn Each client will be accommodated with a convenient meeting point.

Full-Day Trips will begin no later than 8:00 A.M. Half-day trips will vary in starting time. If you are staying in the area, please ask about local lodging recommendations. Client pick-up from a local lodging point are available upon request at no extra charge. Full-day trips will be accommodated with a riverside or in-boat lunch and drinks.

Half-Day Trips will provide smaller snacks and drinks. If you have any special requests, please make us aware! We are here for you. All equipment will be provided.

Come as you are, however, earthy tone clothes and comfortability are recommended for each season and current weather conditions. This includes the possibility of rain showers passing through. There is ample storage on the boat for your rain gear.

All guided fishing trips will begin with familiarization of the boat, casting lessons, entomology reports, and plan of the day.

Policy for Weather

Our Bristol and Johnson City guides do fish rain or shine with all safety measures in place. If we can fish safely, we are not cancelling. If you cancel due to weather, your payment will be refunded except for the 100$ Deposit. Safety is paramount and our decision will be made with diligence.

If there are any special needs or disabilities that need to be considered please call us. We will accommodate any needs that we can within safety guidelines and comfortability.

Guided Float trips- Fly Fishing

Every trip will be guided on the tailwater systems of the South Holston or Watauga rivers. A spacious and comfortable custom-designed StealthCraft boat will allow you to fish with stability and ease.

 

  • Full-Day Float Trip:
    1-2 Anglers $500
  • Half-Day Float Trip:
    1-2 Anglers $400

Guided Wade Trips

Exploration by foot is a dedicated way to discover fly fishing on the South Holston and Watauga rivers.

 

  • Full-Day Wade Trip:
    1-2 Anglers $500
  • Half-Day Wade Trip:
    1-2 Anglers $400

Conventional fishing (Spinning Rods)

Spinning rods and reels are not forgotten. Grab a friend or two for a day of drifting and conventional fishing.

  • Full-Day Float Trip:
    1-2 Anglers $500
  • Half-Day Float Trip:
    1-2 Anglers $400

Tour the River Floats

Touring the river is a unique way to relax and unwind in the views of nature displayed by the South Holston and Watauga rivers.
*Lunch and drinks are provided.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

  • A Non-refundable Deposit Fee Per Boat- $100
  • The remaining balance is due at the end of your trip.
  • Gift Certificates – (Any Amount) are non-refundable after purchase
  • Cancellation of your trip two weeks prior to the date of your trip your balance will be returned
  • A paid in full trip that is cancelled within the two-week window of your trip will result in the full balance being non-refundable

Gratuity

At day's end, our guides should have worked hard for you in providing every necessity and comfort for your trip catching brown and rainbow trout or eco touring of the river. If you feel they succeeded in your trip, drop them a tip to let them know they worked hard for you.

Fishing License

The Tennessee Fishing license will apply to all South Holston and Watauga River trips. You will want to purchase an "All Species" permit - this is also referred to as a trout stamp. A three-day or annual permit are the options. Annual permits expire on February 28 of the corresponding year, regardless of the date of purchase.
